Two reasons why people with mental health issues seek out energy healing experts

Here are two reasons why some people with mental health issues choose to have energy healing instead of conventional counselling.

To release stored negative emotions

When people have conventional forms of counselling for their mental health issues, their counsellor will usually ask them to discuss their mental health issues in depth and then give them advice on creating coping strategies and changing their mindset. Some people find that even after taking this advice and talking about their issues, they still don't feel mentally or physically well. They may, for example, still be getting tension headaches and stomach pains as a result of their anxiety and may still get anxious in certain circumstances.

Some people in this situation end up going to an energy healer, in an effort to release their stored emotions. Many energy healing practitioners believe that when a person experiences a traumatic event, the intense emotions that arise as a result of this can often get trapped within the person's energetic system if the emotions are not properly worked through at the time of the event. They believe that these trapped emotions can create blockages within this energetic system, that may result in the person experiencing both mental and physical issues. When an energy healer then works with a client to release their trapped emotions, these energetic blockages can potentially be removed and it is thought that the person will then experience an improvement in their mental and physical wellbeing.

To build greater self-awareness

Another reason why a person might decide to go for energy healing is to build greater self-awareness so they can manage their mental health better. Whilst conventional counselling can also help a person to become more introspective and gain insight into how their mind works, an energy healer can help a person to do this in a way that gives the person a better understanding of the mind-body connection.

For example, after working with an energy healer for a prolonged period, a person may be able to tune into their own body's energetic system and identify which aspects of it begin to react when they feel sad or anxious. This ability can also enable a person to identify the situations or relationships that trigger them and cause emotional distress, that they may not have been unaware of before.

When a person is able to sense when there is an emotional energy blockage forming within their energy system or when their energy has shifted, they can then address this issue by themselves or with the help of their energy healer, before it begins to cause significant mental health issues.
